Intended Audience:
Beginning to Advance GIS users and managers will benefit from this workshop. It is expected that advanced technical discussions will take place. A high-level understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise components is recommended to get the most out of the workshop.

Learning Objectives:
Students will learn Esri’s “Best Practices” approach to the design and governance of your organizations GIS portal technology (ArcGIS Online for Organizations and/or Portal for ArcGIS).

Instructor Bio:
John Sharrard is a Solution Engineer with Esri on the Local Government team working in the Pacific Northwest. John has been working in the GIS field for 31 years. The first seven years were with the State of Oregon and the last 24 years have been with Esri. He is a graduate from the GeoScience program at Oregon State University. John focuses on assisting Esri software users with Web GIS, 3D GIS, GeoDesign, Land Records, Transportation and technical advice for deploying ArcGIS.
